Gail MacInnis, Ph.D
Exec. Director
Gail holds a PhD in Entomology from McGill University, specialized in wild pollinator ecology. Gail has been learning and working with bees for over 15 years, specifically in research on wild pollinator diversity and non-honey bee pollinators of food and forage crops. Her expertise aligns perfectly with our mission of protecting pollinators with data-driven, ecologically-responsible methods.

Alexa Sabelli
Laboratory Technician
Alexa started as a Pollinature intern working towards her diploma in Environment and Wildlife Science at Vanier college. After completing her schooling and internship, she decided she was hooked on pollinators and now works with us full time. Alexa helps us manage our laboratory experiments focused on improving the health of alternative crop pollinators.

Megan Tremblay, M.Sc
Research Associate
With a BSc in Education, an MSc in Environmental Science, she has specialized skills in research and environmental data management. Megan helps us with our lab and field research and with managing and analyzing our pollinator data. She is currently working hard on developing our pollinator habitat scoring system, our collaborative research project with the Ziter lab at Concordia University.

Eve Desjardins
Field Technician
Eve has a passion for insects of all kinds. She joined our team as part of our collaborative research project on analyzing and improving pollinator habitat with the Ziter lab at Concordia University. With a DEC in Environment and Wildlife management from Vanier college, and her own bug business, Eve has the skills to get the job done in field.

Sophie Scattolin, M.Sc
Research Assistant
Sophie joined our team as an intern through her MSc Environment and Sustainability at the Université de Montréal, and has since become a research assistant with Pollinature. She worked heavily on our wild pollinator scoring system project, helps us with bee taxonomy, and supports our lab work with leafcutter bees. With strong skills in pollinator research and project management, Sophie has been a fantastic addition to our team.
